Boeing Internship Opportunities

Boeing recently released its internship requisitions for all 2017 engineering & business internships across the company (and country). We’re hiring both undergrad and grad students for our internships. Each requisition number has multiple internship positions associated with it (we consolidated them so students don’t need to apply to each internship opportunity and can instead use one resume and apply to multiple internships at the same time. Please feel free to direct any questions students may have my way!

Design Night Workshop: A Brief Introduction to Arduino & Machine Learning
Design Night #4: A Brief Introduction to Arduino and Machine Learning

Tuesday, November 1, 4pm-6pm | David Mellis and Paula Te, Jacobs Design Fellows, Jacobs Institute
Learn about the basics of physical computing by using an Arduino microcontroller to gather data about the world, and see how machine learning methods can be used to turn that data into recognizable information. In this workshop, we’ll program an Arduino with an accelerometer and LEDs. We’ll then use a machine learning tool called ESP to use the accelerometer data to recognize gestures.
No prior knowledge of Arduino is assumed. During the workshop, students will have the chance to:
  • use an Arduino with sensors as inputs and actuators as outputs
  • understand and apply the basics of machine learning
  • build a simple device that responds to a specific gesture
Design Nights are one-off workshops aimed at providing students accessible entry points to design and making. They are free, open to all UC Berkeley students, and do not require a Maker Pass for participation.
