ME Doctoral graduate Euiyoung Kim, along with his co-authors Jaewoo Chung, ME Teaching Professor Sara Beckman, and ME Professor Alice Agogino, won the 2016 Best Paper Award at the 2016 American Society of Mechanical Engineers' International Design Engineering Technical Conference. The topic of the paper, titled "Design Roadmapping: A Framework and Case Study of Planning Development of High-Tech Products in Silicon Valley,” was the subject of Kim's 2016 doctoral dissertation, "Design Roadmapping: Integrating Design Research Into Strategic Planning For New Product Development." The paper was also recently published in the ASME Transactions of Mechanical Design. Kim is currently a Postdoctoral Design Fellow with the Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation at UC Berkeley.
