Maryam Kamgarpour

I recently finished my PH.D. in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California at Berkeley with guidance of Professor Claire Tomlin in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences. I will be joining the Automatic Control Laboratory of ETH Zurich as a post-doc starting in April 2012.

My research focuses on developing algorithms for verification and control of stochastic hybrid systems and application of these algorithms to problems in air traffic and power grid systems. Here is my CV.

I like outdoor activities such as swimming and biking. If I am inside, I like to read poetry or language books. Working with kids makes me very happy. Since the start of my graduate studies, I have been teaching math and science to kids in Oakland elementary schools, through TechGYRLS and SEED weekly after school programs.
