UCEAP Deadline Approaching

Volunteers Need for Girl Scouts Outreach event

Phi Sigma Rho and WICSE are organizing an outreach event on campus with Girl Scouts NorCal on Sunday, April 10. They are looking for volunteers to work on two events: "K-3 Little Pig Construction", 12:30-4pm, activities for kindergarten to 3rd graders who will be learning about basic civil engineering concepts. "Engineering Fun Day", 10:30-3:30pm (2 shifts-10:30-12:30 & 1-3:30), activities for 4th to 8th graders related to EE, robotics, chemistry and biology. Please fill out this form if you are interested.

Cal Teach

Cal Teach is a program for undergraduate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) majors interested in exploring a career in education. Through our courses, students learn conceptual teaching skills and practice these methods in local K–12 classrooms. Cal Teach offers the Science and Math Education minor as well as a unique opportunity for students to complete both a bachelor's degree and a California teaching credential as an undergraduate.  Please see the attached flyer for more information.

Bergeron Scholarship for Women in STEM Scholarship - Application open till Sat. 4/16

The Bergeron Scholarship Program provides five new scholarships annually  to talented female STEM undergraduates. This program pairs scholars with professional women at the top of their fields  to serve as mentors, and gives  the students access to a comprehensive suite of support resources, including some funding for research, academic assistance, networking, and  career development opportunities. Please see our attached flyer.

Spring Undergrad Research Symposium Poster Session

The Spring EECS & College of Engineering Undergraduate Research Symposium Poster Session is being held on Thursday, May 5th in the Hearst Memorial Mining Building from 12 to 3 pm. Undergraduate students (ranging from freshmen to seniors) will be presenting their research on a wide range of projects across the EECS department and the College of Engineering.

How to Participate: 
The poster session is open to all undergraduate students working with Engineering and Computer Science Faculty!  Please encourage your students to present a poster showcasing their research. Click here to submit an abstract.
