The shop is available to ME affiliates and project classes, CE affiliates, NE affiliates, and research teams. To use the shop, you much complete four phases of training, a total of five hours. SIGN UP NOW!

To schedule your training, please see Gordon or Mick in Room 1166 Etcheverry Hall. Your training must be completed by October 19th.

•No open-toe shoes, flip-flops, or sandals allowed in the Shop or ME 102/130 work areas

USEFUL TOOLS

The Student Machine Shop website also serves to provide engineering students with a source of links** that will help them to plan their projects, solve their engineering problems and build their final designs.

*Project Planning includes engineering materials references, formulas and calculations references, where to find materials, CAD programs, essentials for project planning

*Adhesives and Coatings - source lists of glues, epoxy, protective coatings, guides for correct glue and material selection

*Electronics - includes lists of sources of electronic and electrical components and controls used for engineering project construction

*Hardware - comprehensive list of hardware resources offering nuts and bolts and components used in project construction

*Metals - includes list of retailers offering many metal types and alloys used in engineering design and product development

*Online Materials Suppliers - comprehensive list of materials, power transmission components, tools, machinery, scientific optics, mechanisms, pneumatics, hydraulics, and items supporting product development

*Plastics and Polymers - source list of polymer, plastic and composite materials commonly used in product manufacturing
