Please consider making a donation to the Andrew J. Szeri Graduate Student Support Fund. This is an endowment to which I myself have donated $10,000—which has been matched by the UC Berkeley Graduate Division with another $10,000.

Further donations to this fund from New Alumni will be super-matched through June 30, 2010. All undergraduate and graduate alumni from the Classes of 2005 through 2010 can participate; this match quadruples all contributions up to $1,000!

Further donations to this fund from the UC Berkeley community (active and retired faculty and staff, current students, and surviving spouses & partners of Berkeley professors) will be matched up to $250,000, through a Challenge from the Chancellor! This latter program will be in place through June 30, 2012, with the possibility of renewal beyond that time.

My fund benefits UC Berkeley international students with awards of travel grants. These enable students to attend research conferences to present their work, which can enlarge their perspective and help to begin to develop a network.
