Therefore it is necessary to simulate the effects in order to obtain a better understanding. Forward simulations are interesting, but not always sufficient to extract quantitative information. Inverse procedures may resolve these problems. This mini-symposium is open for both linear and non-linear acoustic/ultrasonic problems, forward simulations and inverse problems, both from a physical point of interest or from an applied point of interest such as nondestructive evaluation.
