The Combustion Analysis Laboratory at the University of California - Berkeley is under the supervision of Professor Robert W. Dibble and is part of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. We work on a wide variety of projects, some of which are highlighted below. While most of the information on this website is up-to-date, the best place to find the latest publications is through the UCB Digital Repository (link).
As of late 2006, the vast majority of work involves Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI). For a low-level introduction to HCCI technology you can view the following news segment done by KTVU Channel 2 out of Oakland. (YouTube video link)
