Associate Specialist in the Area of Manufacturing Integration
THE DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, University of California at Berkeley, seeks applications for an Associate Specialist in the area of manufacturing integration. The candidate should have a strong background in mechanical manufacturing processes, solid modeling, computational and differential geometry and software engineering. Experience with the development of software suites for collaborative design advisory systems and the integration/ development of manufacturing process planning system, with exposure to vehicular transmission and planetary gear system analysis, is essential. The candidate must have a strong experience with C++, the ACIS solid modeling kernel, XML, the J2EE suite of applications, CAD/ CAM software, and preferably the .NET environment. Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering required. Ability to architecture and manage large software projects is essential.
