Giovanni Gonzalez awarded Department Citation

Giovanni Gonzalez, president of the ME honor society, Pi Tau Sigma, has been awarded the Mechanical Engineering Department Citation for 2002. Professor Arun Majumdar, Vice Chair for Instruction, had this to say about Giovanni: "I had Giovanni in my heat transfer class, where he did extremely well and was very active. We organized a competition in the class involving hands-on experiments and his group won that competition. He has also been actively involved in research during his senior year and has contributed substantially to a research project related to microfluidics and biotechnology. "We in the ME department are very proud of his multifaceted achievements and outstanding contributions. He fully deserves this honor." See the article in the Engineering News.
