Michael Frenklach has been awarded the 2006 Silver Medal from the Combustion Institute for his paper "Migration mechanism of aromatic-edge growth" (with Charles A. Schuetz and Jonathan Ping). The award is made for an outstanding paper presented at the previous symposium.

The award was presented at the 31st International Symposium on Combustion, held in Heidelberg, Germany.
