Professors David Auslander, Karl Hedrick and Masayoshi Tomizuka received, respectively, the 2000 DSCD Innovation Practice Award, the 2000 DSCD Outstanding Investigator Award and the 2000 DSCD Leadership Award at the Dynamic Systems and Control Division (DSCD) Award Dinner held on November 9, 2000 during the 2000 ASME International Mechanical Engineering Congress & Exposition in Orlando, Florida.

The Society's highest award in the field of controls, the ASME Rufus Oldenburger Medal was presented at the dinner to Dr. Ioan Landau, a former Russell Severance Springer Professor of the Mechanical Engineering Department, which made the sweep of this year's ASME awards in controls by the Berkeley faculty complete.
