Department Honors
Overview
Students may receive up to 3 units of technical elective credit for work on a research project in ME H194, Honors Undergraduate Research.
If you are interested in taking ME H194, you must first find an faculty advisor in our department who agrees to take you on. Once you have found an advisor, you and s/he must come to an agreement about what the course will entail (whether you must present a project or paper for your final grade, etc.). Once all terms have been decided, email shareena@me.berkeley.edu with a request for your Course Control Number and copy your advisor on the message. If you meet the requirements, a CCN will be sent back to you.

- 3.3 Overall GPA
Seniors who do not meet the GPA criteria but wish to do graded research should consider taking ME 196. The same procedure applies.
