The first stage will be to research the kinetics and create a design that would replicate the fish movement mechanically. The second stage will be to fabricate the basic structure of the fish including skeleton and skin and install components necessary for motion. The third stage will be to make the fish move forward in a straight line without the aid of propellers. The forth stage will be to make the fish move up and down (rise and submerge). The fifth stage will be to make the fish move to the left and right, and perhaps turn around.

The team is to construct an automatic screw feeding system that will be able to move the drilling mechanism along two rails to place screws in all the necessary locations. The drilling mechanism will be moved using a rotating, thread rod. An automatic screw feeding mechanism will be researched to find the appropriate model for the setup. A stud finder will be placed at each end of the device to make sure that the screws are being drilled into studs. The StudMaster will have a user interface that will enable specifications on screw spacing, size and material.
