Project Abstract

This project enables a modified radio controlled car to independently follow an arbitrarily drawn path. The design utilizes an infrared (IR) diode placed on the bottom of the car and positioned roughly orthogonal to the line on the ground. Infrared sensors placed at various locations will pick up the reflected signal and activate the servo motor that controls the front wheel to keep it aligned with the path. An electric motor will power the car forward at a pace that will keep the car on track with the line.
