CATALOG DESCRIPTION
This course covers elastic and plastic deformation under static and dynamic loads. Prediction and prevention of failure by yielding, fracture, fatigue, creep, corrosion, and wear. Basic elasticty and plasticity theories are discussed.
COURSE PREREQUISITES
Civil and Environmental Engineering 130; Engineering 45.
